Our second event, held on August 31st, built upon the structure of our first gathering, introducing new, engaging elements. We began with an interactive drawing activity, where participants collaborated on a large sheet of paper, guided by prompts from selected cards. This creative exercise set a playful and inclusive tone.
Next, we transitioned into a lighthearted introduction, using games to learn each other’s names and set personal intentions for the day. A brief bodyscan meditation followed, helping everyone center themselves and connect with the present moment.
The highlight of this event was working with clay. Participants crafted self-portraits, exploring and expressing their vulnerabilities through the medium. Afterward, they exchanged their works with a partner, who thoughtfully added something positive to each creation. This led to a heartfelt sharing circle, where reflections on the claywork and the act of opening up were discussed.
This time, we aimed to go deeper, creating an atmosphere that would support participants on their healing journey.
We then gathered around for a communal meal of homemade food, creating a warm and nurturing space to exchange thoughts about the day’s experiences. A jar filled with questions encouraged deeper conversations. The event concluded joyfully, as we all danced together, celebrating creativity, connection, and the journey we shared.
