About the Event
Daylight Yalda is a creative community gathering that honors the symbolism of Yalda the balance between darkness and light, shadow and renewal.
We will come together to create, reflect, and share:
making candles as symbols of inner light, reading Hafez poetry, sharing food, and joining in a live jam session.
You’re welcome to bring your own instrument or simply your presence and voice.
This event is inspired by art therapy and community arts practices where creating together becomes a way to connect, feel, and find meaning.
We will explore stillness, gratitude, and the stories that live within us individually and collectively.
You don’t need any artistic or musical experience to join.
This event is for anyone who wishes to:

Connect with others in a mindful and creative space

Reflect on both their inner light and shadow

Experience art, poetry, and music as paths to connection and healing

Celebrate the spirit of Yalda in community
Dress Code
Come as a character from Persian mythology Zahhak, Simorgh, Anahita, Rostam, or your own symbolic expression of light and darkness.
Feel free to embody your own myth or come as you are.
