Abstract Self-Portraits – 6 October

Our third event took place on October 6th and followed a similar structure as our previous gatherings. We began with an open drawing session where participants selected cards to guide their sketches. This was followed by a familiar introduction sequence, helping everyone to connect and feel comfortable.
This time, the meditation focused on connecting with the heart. Participants then used clay to create self-portraits. Once completed, they were asked to place their clay pieces somewhere in the space, engaging with one another to find the right placement and discussing their choices. When the group collectively agreed they were ready, we held a conversation about why each piece was placed where it was and reflected on the feelings and experiences from the entire process.
This event was also centered around moments of silence, mixed with times of connection and meaningful conversation, fostering a deep sense of community.
The event continued with a communal meal, offering space to deepen conversations. The closing portion was open-ended, allowing participants to choose their own form of expression: some danced, others helped clean up, and some continued to talk or play. A few even sang and performed, creating a joyful and spontaneous ending to the gathering.
